- Sponsored content. Paid articles are available under strict conditions: they are clearly labeled as sponsored, visually distinct from news, and factually accurate. We reserve the right to decline any sponsored piece that does not meet our standards.
The rules, stated plainly
We believe advertisers prefer a publication whose integrity is not for sale, so here are the lines that never move:
- Advertising buys space, never coverage. No payment of any size buys a news story, a favorable review, or the removal of accurate reporting.
- Sponsored content is always labeled. If a reader could mistake it for news, the label is not big enough.
- Advertisers get no preview of editorial content and no input into it.
- We do not accept ads for scams, miracle cures, or anything we would warn our readers about in a news story.
