Pixel Watch 5 Discount Erases Google’s $50 Launch Hike

The US Google Store cut Pixel Watch 5 for the first time on October 5, taking $50 off Wi-Fi models 46 days after the August 20 launch. The 41mm Wi-Fi watch is $349.99, the same opening price Pixel Watch 4 had a year earlier.

LTE models are $70 off, the Stephen Curry Special Edition is $509.99, and the same sale prices are on Amazon for the October 6-7 shopping event. Google Store terms run through October 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT.

The $50 Hike Lasted 46 Days

Google unveiled Pixel Watch 5 on August 12 and put it on shelves August 20. The company launched at $399 and $429 for the 41mm and 45mm Wi-Fi watches, a $50 jump on the smaller size versus Watch 4.

Checkout on the Google Store now shows those stickers as $399.99 and $429.99, then knocks $50 off. The 41mm Wi-Fi model lands at $349.99. That is Watch 4 money for a watch Google priced like a new generation in August.

Buyers who paid list in late August or September did not get that $50 back. The people who waited for Amazon’s fall event did. Google has not said the new prices stay after October 11, so this is still a timed window, not a permanent reset.

THE $50 THAT DID NOT HOLD

• 41mm Wi-Fi: $399.99 at launch, $349.99 on sale, which matches Pixel Watch 4’s 41mm Wi-Fi open price of $349.99.
• 45mm Wi-Fi: $429.99 at launch, $379.99 on sale, which sits under Watch 4’s $399 45mm open price.
• Hold time: 46 days from the August 20 on-sale date to the October 5, 2026, 12:00 AM PDT start.
• Store banner: Google’s product page also says you can save $50 on Pixel Watch 5, and that savings of up to $70 end 10/11.

The deeper $70 LTE markdown is the one Google is pushing in its offers rail, where the featured card is $429.99 from $499.99. Wi-Fi is the clean reversal. Cellular is the SKU the company wants to move with extra data attached.

Google Store Prices for Every Watch 5

US Google Store checkout and the watch offers page publish the $50 Wi-Fi and $70 LTE cuts from October 5 at 12:00 AM PDT through October 11 at 11:59 PM PDT, while supplies last. Amazon is matching the four core SKUs. You do not need a Prime membership to buy on Google’s own store.

PIXEL WATCH 5 US SALE PRICES

The 41mm case is listed for wrists 130 to 210mm around. The 45mm case is listed for 150 to 215mm. Curry uses the 45mm hardware with a 140 to 215mm wrist range. Colors on the regular line include Matte Black with Obsidian, Polished Silver with Fog, Satin Pyrite with Olive, and Champagne Gold with Canyon on 41mm only.

Deal posts keep calling $349.99 a record low. That is true in a narrow way, because Google had not cut Pixel Watch 5 at all. It is also the number the previous watch opened at. A first discount and a bargain are not the same thing, and this one still sits well above the Watch 3 Black Friday floor of $279.99.

LTE Still Includes Two Years of Data

Google did not pull the cellular sweetener when it cut hardware. LTE Watch 5 still ships with two years of Google Fi Wireless data, and you do not have to change your phone number or add a Fi phone plan. Voice calling over LTE is not part of the offer.

Ditch the extra watch plan. Get 2 years of data included for any Google Pixel Watch 5 (LTE).

The free plan is easy to overread. After you set up the watch, you have 60 days to turn it on in Connectivity inside the Pixel Watch app. Data is US-only. Texting needs an active phone plan and the Messages by Google app. Return the watch and the data ends. The two years do not renew.

Google also starts Watch 5 buyers with 3 months of Google Health Premium, then $9.99 a month unless you cancel. That trial is separate from the Fi data and is written as a 1-trial-per-customer offer.

Last Year the First Cut Came at Black Friday

Pixel Watch 5 shipped with the phones in August, which put an Amazon October event on the calendar before Black Friday. Watch 4 did not get that window. It shipped on October 9, 2025, and Google’s first cash cut arrived with the Store’s Black Friday sale on November 20, 2025, 42 days later.

WHEN EACH PIXEL WATCH FIRST WENT ON SALE

1. August 22, 2024: Pixel Watch 3 goes on sale, with 41mm Wi-Fi at $349.99.
2. November 2024: Google takes the first cash cut on Watch 3, putting 41mm Wi-Fi at $279.99 after $70 off.
3. October 9, 2025: Pixel Watch 4 ships, 41mm Wi-Fi at $349.99 and 45mm Wi-Fi at $399.
4. November 20, 2025: The Google Store’s Black Friday sale takes $50 off Watch 4 Wi-Fi and $100 off LTE.
5. August 20, 2026: Pixel Watch 5 ships at a higher Wi-Fi sticker than Watch 4.
6. October 5, 2026: The first Watch 5 cash cut starts, $50 off Wi-Fi and $70 off LTE.

The pattern is a hold of about six weeks once a major shopping event is in range. Watch 3 waited longer, into November, because that was the first big sale after its August 2024 launch. Watch 5’s first LTE cut is also shallower than Watch 4’s first LTE cut, $70 against $100, even though the hardware is newer.

Google is training buyers to wait for the first Amazon or Black Friday window rather than pre-order day. The August $50 hike made that wait worth $50 on Wi-Fi. It also left anyone who bought at launch looking at a public markdown before the watch was two months old.

Unlocked Pixel 11 Is $100 Off Through October 11

The October 5 watch cut was not a one-product dump. On October 6 at 12:00 AM PDT, the Google Store started cash discounts on unlocked Pixel phones that end on the same October 11, 11:59 PM PDT night as the watch sale.

Unlocked Pixel 11 is $799 after $100 off the $899 list Google set when it published Pixel 11 series starting prices of $899, $1,099, and $1,299, with Pixel 11 Pro Fold at $1,899. Pixel 11 Pro is $200 off, which is $899. Pixel 11 Pro XL is $1,049 after $250 off $1,299.

GOOGLE STORE PHONE CUTS, OCTOBER 6 TO 11

Elevated trade-ins run longer than the cash sale. From October 1 through October 29 at 11:59 PM PT, Google lists up to $460 back on Pixel 11, up to $650 on Pixel 11 Pro or Pro XL, and up to $850 on Pixel 11 Pro Fold, for Unlocked or Verizon checkouts only. Fi-branded checkouts are written out of that promo. The cash-off terms say a qualifying phone trade-in can still stack; other promo codes and bundle offers running at the same time cannot.

Base Pixel 11 at $799 after $100 off is also last year’s Pixel 10 open price, with the caveat that Pixel 11 starts at 256GB and Pixel 10’s $799 tier was 128GB. The watch math is cleaner. The phone math is a first cash cut, not a full like-for-like rewind.

What Two Years of Watch Data Covers

If the $70 LTE cut is the reason to pick cellular, read the cap. Google’s offer copy says Fi data powers messaging, navigation, and music. The legal text is tighter, and it sits in the Fi terms that cap monthly watch data plus the Store footnotes.

THE FREE LTE PLAN IN PRACTICE

• Speed cap: 4G speeds run up to 500 MB per month, then traffic slows to 256 kbps.
• Hard cap: Data stops adding up past 1 GB per month.
• No watch calling: Voice calling over LTE is not supported on this promo.
• One watch: One Fi data offer per Pixel Watch purchase, US shipping addresses, age 18 or older, and it cannot ride along with an existing carrier plan on the watch.

Maps, location sharing, and YouTube Music may need the matching apps on the phone as well as the watch. That is a fine data plan for texts and turn-by-turn when you leave the phone in a bag. It is not a substitute for a full watch line from a carrier.

The watch sale terms also block other promo codes and other bundle offers at the same time, with a written exception for a qualifying phone trade-in. If you are trying to stack a referral code, an ID.me 10% coupon, or a phone-and-watch bundle leftover from launch, the October 5 to 11 hardware cut is the offer that wins, and the extras drop off.

The Curry Edition Falls to $509.99

Google priced the 45mm Stephen Curry Special Edition at $579 in August, with on-shelf availability on September 3, about two weeks after the regular Watch 5. The Store now shows it at $509.99. It is LTE-only, in Satin Pyrite, with a Rye Performance Loop band Google describes as water-repellent and moisture-wicking.

That is the first markdown on a short-run collab that had been at list for a little over a month. It is not a clearance to Watch 4 money. At $509.99 it still costs more than a sale 45mm LTE Watch 5 at $459.99. You are paying for the band and the face, not for extra radios.

Google’s product page still asks you to save $50 on Pixel Watch 5 as the default Wi-Fi pitch, then points LTE shoppers at two years of data. The 45mm watch is rated up to 40 hours with the always-on display. The 41mm watch is the $349.99 entry, and it is the SKU that makes the August hike look temporary.

The sale ends October 11, 2026, at 11:59 PM PDT on the Google Store, with Amazon already on those prices for the October 6-7 event. Google has not posted the next Watch 5 price after that night.
